This course covers a wide base of speciality coffee theory and practicality, allowing participants to develop the essential skills needed to be a speciality barista. As with all SCA courses, there is a theory and practical exam. The cost includes certification with the SCA.
Espresso brewing foundations, grinder adjustment & setting, milk foundations & texturing, green and coffee roasting profiles, customer service, daily maintenance.

3 maximum due to covid 19 social distancing. Face masks must be worn during the session unless coffee tasting is in progress. Hands must be washed throughout the course and all surfaces will be sanitised regularly. Each participants is required to complete a covid test on the day of course. Some base barista knowledge is essential. In order to be eligible for the course certificate and module points, you must register with the Speciality Coffee Association as a leaner not a member http://scae.com/registration
The Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) is the globally accredited organisation that represents the speciality coffee industry and the professionals within it. This course is part of their SCA Coffee Skills Program which consists of six modules. With certified courses earn you 5 points towards your SCA Coffee Skills Program.
